Our story
I Handed Out Water for Eleven Days. Then I Went Home and Bought a Filter.
I spent twenty-two years in the Army National Guard. Most of it was the boring kind of service: weekends, drills, paperwork. The part that stuck was the deployments at home. Hurricanes, ice storms, one flood. Every time, the job was the same. Set up a water point in a parking lot and hand out cases until the trucks stopped coming.
You learn something standing in that line for eleven days. The people waiting are not the ones you see in the movies. They are retired schoolteachers and men who worked at the plant for thirty years. Good people with full pantries and no way to make a glass of water.
When I got home from the last one I bought a gravity filter for my own kitchen, and I could not find one built for a house instead of a backpack. So we made it. Then we made the other things I wished those families had, with one rule: it has to work with no power, no batteries, and no instructions, for someone who is seventy and alone.
We are a small team, most of us Guard or first responders. We answer our own emails at support@outlastprep.com. Every product carries a 90-day money-back guarantee and a lifetime warranty because we would rather take a return than have you keep something you do not trust.
Thank you for trusting us with your family's readiness. I have stood in the line. I take it seriously.
